The lumbar pain is very intense and it is continuous and can make numbness and a burning sensation for the legs, and this impedes the movements.
This feeling goes along the lower leg, and below the knee, in the calves or in the foot. The pain is getting even bigger during the night, or after a long time sitting, standing, in some casses of stress, sneezing, or a cough.
The sciatica pain is traditionally treated with medications, but these painkillers often cause adverse effects and endanger overall health.
On the other hand, you can quickly relieve this pain with the help of stretching exercises. They calm the inflammation and thus soothe the pain. These stretches should be performed slowly.
Start in a lying position on a flat surface. Bend the painful leg, pull it towards the shoulder, and hold for half a minute. Then, straighten the legs, make a short break, and repeat twice.
The following exercises will release the pinched nerve in the lumbar area (sciatica):
Start in a supine position, bend the knees and slowly pull them toward the chests, but make sure your body remains flat on the floor. Then, cross the legs, pull the healthy leg with the hand, and remain thus for half a minute. Next, release, and repeat twice.
These stretching exercises will boost blood circulation, soothe pain, and speed up the recovery.
