Natural remedies for dry and cracked skin

1. Sugar and olive oil for exfoliation

For this remedy, you need to take 1-2 tbsp. of sugar, put it in a cup. Then, add some olive oil, just enough so that you can mix it all together. After you’ve mixed this up, take some on your hands and rub the affected area. In order to have positive results, you should repeat this 4 times a week and after the process, apply some lotion.

2. Honey, baking soda and lemon juice

Although this mixture is helpful when it comes to dry and cracked skin, it is also helpful for covering age spots. First, you need to wash your hands with soap and warm water. Then make the mixture using lemon juice, baking soda, and honey in equal amounts. After you mix all of them together, put it on your hands and massage for a while (1-2 minutes). Then relax for 5-10 minutes and wash them again with warm water. In order this to work, you have to repeat the procedure at least 2 times a day.

3. Sugar, dish soap, petroleum jelly and lotion

For this remedy, you should melt 1/3 tsp. of petroleum jelly in your hand and then sprinkle 1 tsp of sugar on it. Mash it together so that you can make a paste. After you’ve done this, rub it on your hands, and then wash them with soap and warm water so that you can remove the dead skin. When you are done doing this, apply some lotion on your hands and rest.

4. Butter

This will make your hands softer than ever. All you need to do is to apply the butter at night, cover your hands with cotton gloves and let them stay that way overnight.

5. Rosemary and olive oil

Due to the fact that rosemary is an antiseptic ingredient, every infection you might get will be prevented by applying this on your hands. First, you need to massage warm olive oil with only a few drops of rosemary oil on your hands. Massage for a few minutes then put cotton gloves on your hands and let them rest for 30 minutes. At the end wash your hands with warm water and soap. And that’s it!
