All of today’s hair products are filled with chemicals and do a lot of damage to the hair and it is important if we treat our hair with natural oils, and today we show you how to treat your hair the natural way, just keep reading and you will find the information you need.
The oil for the hair treatment should be on a room temperature or a little bit warmer so it won’t damage the hair.
Rub the oil all the way from the scalp and the root and then cover the hair with a shower cap and let it sit like that for about half-hour and to finish the treatment wash it with a natural shampoo. Those who have thick hair should use argan, avocado, coconut, or olive oil. Those you have thin hair should use pomegranate seed or rosemary oil. The jojoba oil can be used for any hair type.
1. Argan Oil
While expensive, argan oil is worth the extra cost, as it’s vitamin E, Omega 3 and 9 fatty acids, and antioxidants, all of which do amazing things for damaged, dry, coarse or otherwise unmanageable hair.
2. Avocado Oil
Avocado oil’s proteins, healthy fats, and vitamins help fill in damage to your hair’s cuticles, repairing damage that’s already been done and preventing future breakage and frizz. Avocado oil is strong and thick, so it is most effective when used on medium to thick hair.
3. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is high in vitamin E and other nutrients, and your hair can absorb them all – resulting in thicker, healthier hair. Antimicrobial attributes of coconut oil mean it can also make your hair and scalp healthier, in addition to preventing dandruff, infections, and itchy scalp.
4. Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil is actually a liquefied wax extracted from a shrub native to the southwestern US, high in vitamins A, E and D and great for all hair types. It can be found in several all-natural shampoos and hair products, but like the other oils, it’s most effective on its own. Jojoba oil helps repair damage to your hair and promotes new, healthy hair growth.
5. Olive Oil
Make sure to use extra virgin olive oils. Massaging your scalp with olive oil will promote scalp health and improve circulation, while fighting off bacteria and leaving you with softer smoother hair.
6. Pomegranate Seed Oil
For fine or thinning hair, Pomegranate seed oil can work miracles, courtesy it’s high amounts of punicic acid, which both revitalizes your hair (leaving it looking thick and shiny) and protects against environmental and chemical damage. Because pomegranate seed oil is very thick and somewhat expensive, you can mix it with extra-virgin olive oil to make it last longer and get the benefits of both.
7. Rosemary Essential Oil
As thinning hair tends to hold in more dirt and toxins, rosemary essential oil is great for cleansing and it also contains loads of vitamin B, iron and calcium. It has been used for thousands of years as a remedy for thinning and brittle hair, plus it has been scientifically proven to prevent premature graying. Just be sure to dilute it with a carrier oil (we recommend olive oil), as essential oil can be too strong otherwise.
